ワルシャワのヴィスワ川の底で人魚は青い城を集めている。誰かの夢である青い城は美しくも脆く、時間が経てば朽ち果て、ある時は破壊されてしまう。ポーランド人のシシィと、日本人の蘭は人魚に導かれ、ヴィスワ川の底、夢の世界で出会う。孤独な彼女らが抱えるものは時代や場所が違えども重なりあい、そして深く深く沈んでいく。
本作はポーランドの古いおとぎ話「ワルシャワの人魚」と作家ルーシー・モード・モンゴメリが執筆した同名の作品「青い城」を元にしている。

At the bottom of the Wisła River in Warsaw, a mermaid gathers Blue Castles.These Blue Castles reside within a person’s dream. They are beautiful, yet fragile, sometimes decaying from the passage of time, sometimes being completely destroyed.While being guided by the mermaid to the Dream World at the bottom of the Wisła River, the Polish girl Sisi, meets Ran, a Japanese girl.Though the girls share the same loneliness, they differ by time and space. Their solitude becomes heavy such that they sink ever deeper.
This story is based on the old Polish legend “The Mermaid of Warsaw”, and “The Blue Castle” written by Lucy Maud Montgomery.
